Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Hone - AI Workout Coach iOS application ("App", "Hone", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Hone, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hone. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Account Registration

To use Hone, you must create an account using an email address or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription and Billing

Hone offers auto-renewable subscription plans that provide access to AI-powered workout plans, the AI coaching chat, and all premium features. Key terms:

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via the App Store.
• Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase or at the end of any free trial period.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.

4. Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods for certain subscription plans. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, or any related systems.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App.
• Use the AI coach to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or unrelated to fitness.
• Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.

6. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Hone provides AI-generated workout plans and coaching for general fitness purposes only. The App is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Consult a physician before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns.
• You exercise at your own risk. We are not responsible for any injuries, health issues, or damages resulting from workouts performed using the App.
• AI-generated plans are based on the information you provide and may not account for all individual health factors.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including exercise videos, animations, text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by or licensed to Hone and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any App content without our written permission.

8. AI-Generated Content

Workout plans and coaching responses are generated by artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and safety, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or recommendations that are not optimal for your specific situation. Always use your own judgment and consult a professional when in doubt.

9. Privacy

Your use of Hone is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the App, its users, or our services. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hone and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to physical injury, loss of data, or loss of profits.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
