uses, and shares information when you use our iOS application. We are committed to protecting
your privacy and handling your data with care.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Hone:
- Email address — your email is collected when you create an account or sign in.
- Workout history — session logs, exercises performed, sets and reps completed, and difficulty ratings.
- Fitness preferences — fitness level, training goals, available equipment, and injury notes you provide during onboarding or coaching.
- Exercise performance data — adaptations and progress tracked over time to personalize your training program.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription and your billing period.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Generate personalized workout plans tailored to your fitness level, goals, and equipment.
- Power the Hone AI coach — answering your questions, adapting plans in real time, and providing guidance during sessions.
- Track your progress, streaks, personal records, and training volume over time.
- Manage your subscription and provide access to premium features.
- Improve the app experience and fix issues.
3. AI Processing
Hone uses OpenAI's API to generate workout plans and power the AI coach. When you request a
workout plan or send a message to the coach, relevant context — including your fitness profile,
goals, equipment, and recent session data — is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing.
OpenAI does not retain data submitted via the API to train their models, per their
API data usage policy.
All communications with OpenAI's API are encrypted in transit.
4. Third-Party Services
Hone relies on the following third-party services to operate:
Supabase
Provides our database and authentication infrastructure. Your account data, workout history,
and fitness profile are stored in Supabase's PostgreSQL database with row-level security

RevenueCat
Manages subscription billing and entitlements. RevenueCat processes purchase history and

Mux
Delivers exercise instructional videos via HLS streaming. Mux may log video playback
analytics (buffering, quality, watch time) to monitor delivery performance. Privacy policy: mux.com/privacy

5. Data Security
We take the following steps to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS — encrypted in transit.
- Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain — not in UserDefaults or plain text files.
- Row-level security on our database ensures users can only access their own data.
- We use industry-standard third-party infrastructure (Supabase) for data storage.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and all associated data.

Account deletion requests will result in permanent removal of your profile, workout history,
and all associated data from our systems.
7. Children's Privacy
Hone is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with
personal information, please contact us so we can delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the
"Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy
periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information. Continued use of
the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
