Storytime is an AI-powered bedtime story app for children. This privacy policy explains how the app handles information.
Storytime does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from children or parents. The app does not require an account, login, or any form of registration.
When you create a story, the story preferences you choose (such as a child's first name, character names, and theme) are sent to a server-side proxy operated by the developer. The proxy forwards the request to an AI service to generate the story. No personally identifiable information is stored by the proxy — requests are processed and discarded. Generated stories are saved locally on your device only.
Your story library and reading preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not synced to any cloud service or backend server.
Storytime contains no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or device tracking of any kind. The following frameworks are explicitly not present in the app: Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Crashlytics, and AppTrackingTransparency.
Storytime does not share any user data with third parties. Story generation requests are processed through a proxy that transmits only the story prompt — no device identifiers, names, or other personal information are included.
Storytime is designed for use by young children with parental supervision. The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13. No personal information is collected from any user, regardless of age.
Storytime offers an optional subscription managed through Apple's App Store. All billing is handled entirely by Apple. The developer does not have access to your payment information.
